The SHARPAL 168H features two electroplated diamond sharpening surfaces: 325 grit (45 micron) and 1000 grit (15 micron). The 325 grit surface is intended for quick edge restoration, while the 1000 grit surface is used for honing and fine edge refinement.
The sharpening stone has an 8" x 3" surface and MirrorFlat® precision-ground flatness. It can be used dry or with honing oil, and the product page specifies that water should not be used.
The stone is suitable for straight edges, scissors, edged tools and pointed tools. An Angle Pyramid® guide is included to help establish the sharpening angle.
